Blackbird Processor

The Jet Blackbird ALPR Remote Processor Unit is a powerful yet small computer platform operating XP professional. It is perfectly fitted for remote ALPR use where a compact, rugged device is needed able to withstand the rigors of an industrial situation.

 

The 19” unit can be sited in roadside cabinets or CCTV column bases and links straight in to four ALPR cameras or two ALPR and two color overview cameras.

 

 

The Blackbird operates the powerful Jet ALPR software which means that ALPR cameras no longer need be connected to a central processing location using expensive fibre connections. Instead, camera images can be processed at source and the ALPR data (text and / or images) can be sent to base as required using much less bandwidth than real-time video. Data can be sent to servers via WLAN, GPRS or WiFi options.

 

Two 3U Blackbirds can be fixed back to back instead of a typical 4U rackmount processor. This is extremely useful when rack space is tight.
