PRESS RELEASE ~ New Product Developments ~ May 09

The dust is finally settling and we’re all getting back to the norms of everyday life after a fantastic IFSEC 2009. We’re all in agreement here at CitySync that this was the best IFSEC to date!

Over the past year, the CitySync team have been extremely busy bringing new innovative products to the ever demanding and challenging ALPR industry.

Hopefully you managed to visit our IFSEC stand to see the new products in live demonstrations, but if didn’t have the chance this press release will give you some insight into our latest offerings.

We’ve developed a staggering seven new products to suit the needs of our market sectors:  Homeland Security, ITS, Parking and Security.

The JellyBean – Police Mobile ALPR Camera

Designed specifically to be mounted on Police Vehicles, the JellyBean is an advanced dual ALPR camera (incorporating mono and color overview cameras).

Its beautiful design discreetly incorporates the very latest in high powered infra-red leds and it has a sleek, compact and aerodynamic housing that measures just 70(w) x 124 (w) x 140(h) mm. Number plates can be captured at impressive range of up to 18m from vehicles passing at high speed. The JellyBean can be neatly mounted on a vehicle roof or lightbar facing to the front, rear or side.

JetMobile – In Car System

Designed with considerable input from Police ALPR Officers, JetMobile has an officer-friendly interface which contains large clearly indentified buttons allowing a user to easily interact with the system during vehicle operation.  The user designed touch screen interface removes the need for a keyboard and allows instant navigation between screen tabs. CitySync ALPR cameras can be unobtrusively installed inside or outside a vehicle. Plates are instantly matched against up to 200 hotlist databases in real time.

JetBOF – ANPR Back Office Suite

Jet-BOF is a fully functional back office system providing storage, matching and reporting of ALPR data using an industry standard Microsoft SQL server database. It is a powerful and fully scalable solution designed to manage large and complex fixed site, in-car and mobile ALPR systems for high-end users such as police, customs, and local authorities etc.

JetBOF is capable of receiving, processing and storing millions of reads per day together with their associated plate and overview images or motion video clips. This data can be archived and stored for many years if required.

JetCam Fox-i Intelligent ALPR Camera

The JetCam Fox-i Intelligent ALPR camera is designed to save installation costs and deployment time.  This compact unit incorporates a High Definition ALPR Camera with on-board infra-red illumination and a colour overview camera along with a variety of comms options for transmission of results including 3G / GPRS.

JetJTMS – Journey Time Monitoring Software

Jet-JTMS is a modular Journey Time Monitoring System based upon CitySync’s accurate Jet Automatic Licence Plate Recognition Software.

Infra Red cameras are positioned at critical nodes around a city or along motorways. These cameras read vehicle license plates in real time as traffic passes. Accurate ALPR processing takes place in the camera or at the roadside and the data is continuously transmitted back to a central JTMS Server which processes this traffic data and produces accurate up to the minute journey time data for any set of nodes.  This data can then be exported to other traffic management systems.

JetCam Bollard ANPR Camera

By listening to our customers needs, we have redesigned our popular Bollard ALPR camera. It comes in a very attractive stainless steel finish and is less vulnerable to attention in applications where a low mounted ALPR Camera is called for.

The JetCam Bollard gives optimum performance for car parks and access control systems 24 hours a day in varying lighting and weather conditions. The new slender housing provides a mounting for the ALPR camera at approximately the same height as front car plates, reducing the issues with line of sight problems such as tailgating or queuing traffic.

JetVMD - Vehicle Motion Detection Software

CitySync’s R&D team have been working hard on developing an advanced vehicle motion detection (VMD) module.

Traditional motion detection works by comparing sections of a video, looking for changes between consecutive frames. CitySync’s motion detection method works by looking for horizontal and vertical lines, (which are very distinctive on vehicles) delivering a very robust solution not prone to false positives from changing scene brightness or weather conditions
