PRESS RELEASE ~ National Gallery of Art ~ March 08
CitySync ALPR technology has recently been installed at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC in conjunction with Extreme CCTV of Vancouver.
The National Gallery of Art is, in itself, a National Monument and is located on the National Mall in Washington DC. Congress established the museum in 1937, with funds for construction and a substantial art collection donated by Andrew W Melton and Samuel H Kress. It houses one of the finest collections in the world illustrating major achievements in painting, sculpture, decorative arts, and works on paper from the Middle Ages to present.

CitySync’s ALPR System is used for screening and logging vehicles.
Frank Thomson CitySync’s CEO commented:
“The protection of vehicle entrances into high security sites or vulnerable buildings demands more than just saving a few images to a DVR and hoping for the best.
Our event driven JetBase software logs all vehicle movements in and out with images providing intelligent alarms where needed. This is coupled with very powerful and fast historical search facilities. We are very pleased to add the National Gallery to our high profile user list”
The system utilises Extreme CCTV’s advanced LPR capture cameras and CitySync’s recognition and application software. |
